Product Care Guide

Trade Furnishing Solutions Ltd warrants that Goods supplied will conform in all material respects to their specification and will be free from defects in design, material and workmanship under normal conditions of use for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery, provided that the defect is not attributable to fair wear and tear or any fault or damage arising from impact, modification, accident, neglect, misuse, abuse, nor any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, incorrect storage, cleaning or care.

To prolong the life of your furniture please follow our suggestion of care and maintenance below.

Use a warm, damp and slightly soapy cloth to wipe over and ensure that the surface is thoroughly dried. Do not use any cleaning agent on our products which contain an abrasive, ammonia, bleach, spirit or other aggressive constituent, including D10 sanitiser. Sanitiser sprays are causing increasing problems across the industry as their aggressive constituents attack lacquer finishes causing them to deteriorate which in turn means table tops are likely to show water or heat marks or show scratches. Our 12 month product guarantee does not extend to damage caused by the use of such cleaning products.

To clean lacquered tables we strongly recommend using either warm soapy water or Relay Spray Restaurant Table Top Cleaner, available from Relay Spray was specially developed to clean and sanitise tops without harming the lacquer.

We use reclaimed scaffold boards, that are well seasoned, kiln dried and finished with an acid catalyst lacquer. Due to the nature of the boards, some movement is to be expected as they adapt to a new environment i.e. heating/air conditioning. Although smooth to the touch due to the lacquered finish, they  have cracks and knots together with other signs of wear and tear, enhancing their rustic and weathered appearance which will continue to develop with time.

Please follow fabric manufacturer directions; these are supplied together with fabric certification.

Important - Always try a small area first to check colourfastness. If in doubt, please contact us and we will obtain the recommended treatment instructions from the fabric manufacturer, if not already supplied.
